Seal Beach, CA - January 5, 2022 - TYR Sport is excited to announce the signing of two-time Fittest Woman on Earth, Annie Thorisdottir.
As one of the most accomplished athletes in the sport, and the first woman to win the CrossFit Games twice, Annie Thorisdottir is no stranger to the podium. After discovering the sport in 2009, Thorisdottir quickly established herself as an elite athlete, placing 11th in her first Games appearance. She then went on to become the Fittest Woman on Earth in back-to-back years and remained a top competitor for over a decade, despite injuries in 2013 and 2015. In addition, Thorisdottir delivered her daughter, Freyja, in 2020 – becoming the first woman to get back on the podium after giving birth with her 3rd place finish. Annie also battled to second place overall at the Rouge Invitational earlier this year.

As a member of team TYR, Thorisdottir will join sponsored athletes including Olympic Medalists Katie Ledecky, Ryan Lochte, Lilly King, and Michael Andrew, as well as CrossFit Games athletes Noah Ohlsen, Travis Mayer, and Emma Cary.
